Hello everyone I have a question about well...hit rating. I was told around 260-280 was what i should aim for and anything after that will take away from my dps. I just recently hit 80 and have been looking out for the best gear possible. I farmed a few heroics last night and got some emblems to buy a new belt and looted from said heroics some gloves, ring, cape, and a trinket now my hit rating is a whopping 320.

Is that normal for someone who is just now starting to gear up from green to blues and purples will it go down as i get more agi rated gear? im Ryang of Frostwolf (US) night elf id link it but its a blocked site where i work.

Also any tips on my new spec which was redone last night to surv for heroics/raids. I have a sorta shopping list from wowhead about what kinda gear I need to upgrade to until I start doing 10mans but I'll take any and all advice and thanks in advance Very Happy

Howdy inless thing's have changed that i don't know of for PVE you'll need 8% Hit rating which is 263 with out points in focus fire a few thing's to remember...

Draenei have the racial for hit rating so your hit rating requirment for them will be less ...

Also your pet will not scale well /w your hit rating kind of a bug if you have 4.9% to hit as a hunter your pet will round down to 4% so somthing to keep in mind to make sure you and your pet are hiting the target. also pets do not benefit from focus fire last time i checked so best to just shoot for 8% or 263 if not Draenei...

I can't look at your toon because i'm at work and it's a blocked site but it looks like your in the cap

hope this helps

thanks for the info gunny. I have actually thought about doing the race change to be a draenei for the bonus hit rating but i cant stand the fact that you can see their footwear, and they just seem to move slow again thats the huntard in me coming out going for fashion over functinality. but this night elf is m first toon and i really love playing the hunter class and i have played a draenei shammy for a while but i just like the way the night elf 'drives' so to speak

isnt it funny though how this site obviously a game site isnt blocked from our work places but others are. then again if i could read up on lore all day on wowwiki or check out gear and specs on wowhead i might get fired for never coming back from break.

thanks again youve been a big help btw
