Patch 2.4.2 is in the works...here is a list of what is to come:
* Aspect of the Viper: This ability now grants an additional amount of mana each 5 seconds equal to 35% of the hunter’s level.
* Boar Charge: This ability will no longer make Growl cast immediately after it generates excessive threat.
* The pet ability Growl will no longer scale with pet Attack Power.
* Dire Ravens in Blade’s Edge Mountains now tameable.
* Scare Beast: The range on this spell has been increased to 30 yards and it is now instant cast.
* Tamed Drywallow Snappers now will know Bite 5 (instead of Claw 5.)
Thoughts? I like the mana change to viper...always running low. _________________ The all unknowing and never powerful... |

I'm very interested in just how this plays out. I don't have the patch note in front of me but seems like it was supposed to scale with something else wasn't it?

This has always made me giggle. It's like a bear with screech. =)
I also like the mana thing. That will be very beneficial for us MM hunters. _________________ Some people are like slinky's...

Growl is now supposed to scale with hunters AP above a certain lvl (I think it was 1200 or 1300AP). Good news I guess - but I don't think a well-geared hunter will have problems pulling aggro off his pet fast. _________________ Komarr. Carpe Cerevisi, Stormrage (EU)

True, the PTR testers are saying that Growl now scales up with the Hunter's AP instead, and that Growl is actually stronger now.
I pull hate from my pet all the time while farming, or get very close to it (says Omen and the annoying sounds it makes). I do have to hold myself back, and while that's something every Hunter should know how to do for instancing, it's not fun to pull back when you're trying to quest or farm while playing solo. _________________ Unpossible: 80 Orc Hunter

I went to the WoW forums earlier today to look at what was being said about the new patch. Why is there so much annoying crying and making fun of people there? Are people really that bored and are kids now days just really that undisciplined? Anyway, my "QQ" (LOL) is done. The druids are screaming about the Scare Beast. I guess they are afraid of losing their top spot on every server's arena teams... _________________ Hunter's Mark on the Moon, Multi shot the Sheep, send pet to attack the FT, and Volley the area around the MT.
